Breathing new life for high functioning ADHD and ASD individuals
The MAITRĪ ADHD & ASD Academy is an extra curricular educational program that teaches children with ADHD & ASD how to thrive as a neurodiverse individual living in a convergent world. Only diagnosed at the age of 41 with ADD and ASD, Mark has dedicated the last five years to gaining a deeper understanding of ADHD and ASD conditions.
In early childhood, Mark displayed many of the typical behaviours and characteristics that many teenagers today can relate to, including class disruption, school transfers and behavioural issues.
In the 80's there was little awareness of neurodiversity and like many, Mark was subject to much punishment which was extremely traumatic especially in later years, resulting in the high use of alcohol to self medicate.
Suffering from intense anxiety most of his life he seeked to discover new ways to resolve anxiety and stress. As part of his journey he was diagnosed with ADD and ASD and was provided industry medication which provided little benefit, so Mark began his journey resulting in the development of the Maitri process.
Mark's passion is to help neurodiverse individuals by teaching them alternative ways to flourish in a convergent world.
