If you believe or don't, you still believe - A Conscious State

Our beliefs are constructed from what we have learnt and our experiences throughout our life. When we believe in something, we are saying that it is true to what we have learnt or experienced. On the contrary when we say we don't believe it's because we usually haven't experienced it or we don't know it. So why do we think we know everything when there is so much to learn and experience.

We are taught from a young age that things are either right or wrong, black and white and we see it in our daily lives everyday, which formulates a strong belief system, but by doing so ideas become fixed. The problem with this is that if we bring our belief system, which is based on our limited experience, into new situations, then we are potentially augmenting the situation to fit into our beliefs and therefore we are not seeing the truth in everything, we only see our perception.

Your beliefs don't serve you

Why do you need to believe at all?

If you approach everything with curiosity, with no judgement and as if you know nothing, then you are truly present in the situation to see the truth. To be totally present you are not in the past, nor are you in the future, so you are not using your past to decide and you are then open to seeing what is unfolding in front of you.

Instead of using your intellect (your mind only) you then are tapping into your intelligence and using your whole body, senses, intuition and mind to process what is happening. Read article: Intellect Vs. Intelligence
